Point Blank
It is sometimes a wonder as to what is going on the heads of our so-called leaders. At this stage of his political career, one might expect that Joe Biden would be possessed of a little more circumspection than his recent remarks -- on CSPAN no less -- might suggest. He wasn't exactly chumming around the locker room when he said,
In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian-Americans moving from India. You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I'm not joking.I'm not joking either. CSPAN.
Naturally, the "my remarks were taken out of context" defense was quickly employed, to most everyone's amusement. And more hilariously, a Biden spokesman further defended the ingracious senator with a statement that Biden relished Delaware's "vibrant" multi-cultural community:
The point Senator Biden was making is that there has been a vibrant Indian-American community in Delaware for decades. It has primarily been made up of engineers, scientists and physicians, but more recently, middle-class families are moving into Delaware and purchasing family-run small businesses.I wonder if the Indian-American community appreciate Biden's subtlety in making this point. I know I do.

Ah, Biden. Good Republican, that. He's been fighting alongside Lieberman, Bayh, et al, to curtail growing Democratic advocacy of ending the Iraq genocide.
Side note: Biden, along with Colin Powell, met with Pakistani ISI Director Lt. Gen. Mahmood Ahmed in the week following the 9/11 attacks, to discuss Pakistan's position in the newborn War on Terror. (The ISI being the Pakistan-based puppet of the CIA.) Mahmood is the man who had the $110,000 wired to Mohammed Atta, one of the alleged hijackers. I wonder what Biden and Powell and Mahmood talked about. Not saying anything in particular here...just passing the info along.
Wow, that is fascinating. Tell me more.
My pleasure.
