Lift off!

Discovery took off today despite reports that cracks had developed and/or a small piece of insulation foam had broken free of the fuel tank. Let's hope things go well and that no damage was done to the vehicle.

An Indepedence Day launch turning into a disaster would simply be too much of an omen.
