Canadian Contrarians

Oh boy. This won't be taken well by the insular, American-exceptionalism, right wing in this country. To the extent that they pay any much attention to what Canada ever has to say about anything other than baby seal hunting and hockey, the results of a recent poll will surely have tightie righties steaming about those damnable dope-smoking, gay-sex loving pinkos up north:
A majority of Canadians believe U.S. foreign policy was one of the root causes that led to the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, and Quebecers are quicker to criticize the U.S. administration for its international actions than other Canadians.

The poll suggests that 77 per cent of Quebecers polled primarily blame American foreign policy for the Sept. 11 attacks. The results suggest 57 per cent in Ontario hold a similar view.
What would any American expect from those Quebecois? They're practically French!

But I guess what this really shows is that Canadians haven't bought into that whole "they hate us for our freedom" nonsense. Of course, they don't much watch Fox News up there, either.
