But ... you ... don't understand

Tony Blair's world is rapidly unwinding, both inside and outside his head. Seven members of his government have just quit in protest of Blair's refusal to name a departure date. Brits want him gone. His party want him gone. And Blair continues to appear as nearly as disconnected from the real world as Bush. Of course, Blair has called his critics, such as minister Tom Watson, "disloyal, discourteous and wrong," which says more about Tony Blair than it does Watson.

With numbers in the tank after his Carribean vacation while Lebanon burned -- idiot behaviour more in keeping with George Bush's notion of governance than what one would expect from a proper Englishman -- the Brits have clearly had enough of Blair. They've never been happy with his kowtowing to Bush policy, and his wallowing numbers and recent bizarre mouthings, such as the pre-natal terrorist alert policy and declaration that the very much alive battle-axe Margaret Thatcher be honoured with a state funeral, all conspire and have turned Blair into perhaps the most reviled man in England.

For the sake of Brittania, Tony, take the freaking hint.

Clinging by his bloody fingernails to power, failing to see any reality other than his own. Remind you of anyone?

Oh yeah. The difference is, the Repubs aren't calling for Bush to step down and it certainly isn't coming from the worthless Dems. Congress is filled with nothing, nothing, but useless toadies, more interested in their own political hides than anything approaching actual governance.
