KKK supports hard-line GOP on immigration

Rabid anti-immigration protesters in Russellville, Alabama, found themselves amongst what must have been some rather uncomfortable company as the protest march was headed up by the local affiliate of the Knights of the KKK. At least, I'm imagining it would be uncomfortable, but maybe that's just me.

This was to be expected, of course, once Bush and congressional Republicans stirred up the hornet's nest of xenophobic rancour. While the immigration issue may have been seen at one point to have been a winner for Republicans looking to recoup sagging poll numbers, when your support starts manifesting itself with pointy white hoods, it might be time to consider re-evaluating your position.
