Let's see, that makes it three, the number of Republicans who suddenly and unexpectedly decided to become Democrats during one of the ugliest Republican scandals on Capitol Hill. Foley and Hastert have both been labelled with the big D after the Foley scandal started arching into orbit.

And, once again, Fox News delivers the latest convert: Lincoln Chafee is now a hapless Democrat whose incumbancy is threatened by his big R challenger. Are we really to believe these are all just a bunch of mistakes?

And let's not ignore the obvious psychological effect this has on viewers; "Republican" popular, "Democrat" not. If I were Whitehouse, I'd be suing for libel; demonstrably false and gross accusations against my person.
