Cheney says, Boo!

Why does the mainstream media keep reporting crap like this, as though it is actual news?
War's Critics Abetting Terrorists, Cheney Says
This jackass has been saying the same shit for years. Why is this news? In fact, the entire article sounds like it was written in 2005. Or 2004. Or any one of those years. Maybe WaPo just slaps it up there to amuse people. I don't know. And, I'm starting to think that WaPo has just one article, written in late 2003, that they bring out everytime this clotpoll waddles onto a stage.

But it is full of amusing stuff, that's for sure. Take, for example, this nonsense:
They can't beat us in a stand-up fight -- they never have -- but they're absolutely convinced they can break our will, [that] the American people don't have the stomach for the fight.
Well it sure sounds like they beat us in al-Anbar:
The US military has lost control over volatile al-Anbar province, Iraqi police and residents say. The area to the west of Baghdad includes Fallujah, Ramadi and other towns that have seen the worst of military occupation, and the strongest resistance.

Despite massive military operations that destroyed most of Fallujah and much of cities such as Haditha, al-Qa'im and Ramadi, real control of the city now seems to be in the hands of local resistance fighters.
Must have been all that emboldening they got from Ned Lamont.

But really, this sounds extremely grim and US supply lines look seriously threatened.
Recent weeks have brought countless attacks on US troops in Haditha, Ramadi and Fallujah and on the Baghdad-Amman highway. Several armored vehicles have been destroyed and dozens of US soldiers killed in al-Anbar province, according to Iraqi witnesses and the US Department of Defense.

Long stretches of the 550-kilometer Baghdad-Amman highway, which crosses al-Anbar, are now controlled by resistance groups. Other parts are targeted by highway looters.
The insurgency doesn't need abetting nor, I'm quite certain, do they spend much time listening to Democrats bitch about the war in order to get "emboldened." In fact, the US military is simply working against itself now. Rather than "war critics," US forces are the ones strengthening the insurgency with incredibly bad decisions, such as leveling pieces of a city in order to "secure" it.
Residents of Ramadi said the US military has knocked down several buildings near the government center in the city, the capital of the province.

In an apparent move to secure their offices, US Army and Marine Corps engineers have started to level a 500-meter stretch of lowrise buildings opposite the center.

"They are trying to create a separation area between the offices of the puppet government and the buildings the resistance are using to attack them. But now the Americans are making us all angry because they are destroying our city."
Nope, didn't hear Lamont's name in there.

The only American will being broken is the will to put up with this insanity and repetitive White House bullshit for much longer. Somebody, flip Cheney's switch off. Please. He is utterly irrelevent to the reality of events on the ground in Iraq. Stop giving a bullhorn to this dottering fool.

-This comes from a man who repeatedly dodged military service and shot a seventy year-old in the face.
