Vice President Personally Thwarts Terrorist Plot

WASHINGTON - (ATS) Dick Cheney, acting on intelligence received from the NSA, shot his hunting partner, whom he believed to be part of a terrorist cell. In an elaborately staged setting, a quail hunt was established to "smoke out" the mole. Cheney shot the man in the face, yet failed to note that he was armed only with birdshot. The man, 78 year old Harry Whittington, is in stable condition after "Cheney sprayed him with shotgun pellets on Saturday."

The White House has not commented on the shooting other than to say that anything the Vice President may or may not have done was undertaken purely in the interests of national security.
