Freedom is not a concept in which people can do anything they want, be anything they can be. Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do.Freedom's just another word for ... doing what you're told.

Easy. They're coddled and handled all their miserable lives.
Send Rudy to pick cotton sunup to sundown seven days a week, sleep on a dirt floor, with no pay. Then ask him what freedom means.

I read this quote to my mom over the phone and preceded the quote with, "Hey mom, guess who said this?"
Her response: "Either Hitler or Bush."
Now you can add Rudy to that list. It's a sad state of affairs, our current politics is.
Thanks for noting it. It truly is frightening that these people seem to have no qualms about making such statements in public. Which makes one wonder what their are capable of behind the closed doors of the Oval Office.
