Gawd, I hope you're right!
agreed, unless he runs as a democrat! i mean the guy is more loathed by diehard republicans today than hillary, communists, Babs, Hanoi Jane and George Soros combined. while he's not my favorite guy, i just don't get the hate from repubs. btw, how soon does the mccain team jump ship? and to whom? i still think gingrich and jeb are the frontrunners. though there is the possibility that war and increased terrorism threats (oh where have thou gone red and orange threat levels) cause bush to suspend the 2008 election until the war on terror is over.
Owing to the horrid mess Bush is leaving in his wake, whoever wins, loses. Flip side of that coin: nowhere to go but up. The list of things easily restored to normal that could make the next Prexy look like a genius boggles.

undoing the momentum from bush will be hard - but if it's possible, the next prez could sleep the rest of the way and earn a spot on mt. rushmore. with the ego you must have to run in the first place, the candidates must all be licking their chops.
